Delay of Game

Well, there's been quite the delay last week because my back has been giving me some trouble. I probably could ride, but I don't want to push it. If it keeps up, I suppose it will mean another visit to the doctor's office and more Xrays and who knows what. I can tell you honestly that I'm probably going to put it off for as long as I can. I hate the doctor that much.

So, the bike sits in the garage waiting on me. I'm ready mentally to start this thing up - and I'm at 278-279 right now and still eating right about 95% of the time. I'm hoping when the pedaling starts I'll be able to drop more per week because of the increased activity....but that will all depend on what my back decides to do.

So for now, if you're reading along......it's a game of hurry-up-n-wait.

  1. My first month I was just focused on getting my diet headed in the right direction. Every week that I had it squared away I lost at least 1-2lbs. Every week I screwed up on it I gained. Get that 100% squared away and you'll still drop, albeit at a slower rate.

Hope your back feels better soon.

  2. Damnit…erased my comment about getting a true bike fit…I wrote a nice, long comment - in this one I will just ask - have you had a professional bike fit?? I know, it sounds weenie, but it really really matters!

  3. It would appear that you and I are on similar journeys. Keep riding, fishing, making poppers, painting, and writing.

Oh...and the riding: remember that the hardest part of each ride is getting to the end of your driveway. If you can make it that far, you are all good.
